There\u2019s not a whole lot happening on the diplomatic front this morning<\/strong>, with the major issues of the day remaining Libya, Turkey\u2019s stumbling about in the Eastern Med and stalled talks on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.<\/p>\n

Egypt looks set to pursue funding for waste-to-energy from development <\/strong>partners:<\/strong> International Cooperation Minister Rania Al Mashat, Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad, and Local Development Minister Mahmoud Shaarawy will form a committee that will be tasked with preparing a pitch to international partners to fund waste-to-energy projects. The pitch is expected to take place in a meeting that Al Mashat will organize in October, according to a cabinet statement.<\/a> The government currently has four WtE projects funded by international partners, including the European Union, Germany, Italy, the World Bank, the European Investment Bank, and the French Development Agency at a total cost of USD 238.2 mn.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
