Egypt has turned to the UN Security Council to resolve the gridlock over GERD<\/strong>, not to impose punitive measures on Ethiopia, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry explained to Khaled Abu Bakr. The move comes as Cairo wants to diffuse tensions and encourage a mutually satisfactory agreement on the dam (watch, runtime: 5:35<\/a>).
