Foreign investors have pulled USD 17 bn out of Egypt since the beginning of the covid-19 crisis in March,<\/strong> CBE Deputy Governor Ramy Aboul Naga told Moussa last night. Capital flight peaked in March before easing in April, he said. Aboul Naga reassured that the country has enough reserves and cash on hand to meet its import needs for the next seven months. Egypt\u2019s foreign reserves have fallen by USD 8.5 bn over the past two months<\/a> as the CBE responded to the accelerating portfolio outflows, made debt repayments and bought strategic goods. Delivery of Russian railcars faces delays due to covid -El Wazir:<\/strong> Egypt will not receive the first batch of railcars from Russian manufacturer Transmashholding<\/a> before 30 June due to disruption caused by the pandemic, Transport Minister Kamel El Wazir told Moussa last night. The government was expecting to receive 100 units before the end of next month, the minister said, before suggesting that 34 might arrive \u201csoon.\u201d<\/p>\n
