The House Economic Committee has added a provision to the proposed Banking and Central Bank Act that would streamline the process to appeal regulatory decisions by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) after the House Economic Committee added an article to an original 241-article draft, MENA reports, citing unnamed sources<\/a>. The new article would require appellants to file appeals to the central bank\u2019s board no later than 30 days after a given decision. The board would also be required to give its decision within 30 days of filing. The committee submitted its recommendations on the draft to the House of Representatives general assembly earlier this week<\/a>.
