At least five Iraqi militiamen were killed, said The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The US said that the strikes came in response to drone attacks by the militias \u2014 Kata\u2019ib Hizbollah and Kata\u2019ib Sayyid al-Shuhada \u2014 against US personnel and facilities in Iraq, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defense.gov\/Newsroom\/Releases\/Release\/Article\/2672875\/statement-by-the-department-of-defense\/\">Pentagon statement<\/a>.
