The EGX30 ended today\u2019s session flat <\/strong>on turnover of EGP 1.0 bn (30.8% below the 90-day average). Local investors were net buyers. The index is down 2.6% YTD.<\/p>\n

In the green: <\/strong>Heliopolis Housing (+7.7%), Cleopatra Hospital (+4.1%) and Orascom Financial (+3.2%).<\/p>\n

In the red: <\/strong>Abu Qir Fertilizers (-2.1%), CI Capital (-1.5%) and CIB (-1.0%).<\/p>\n

<\/a> Pharos topped the March brokerage league table with a market share of 31.4%<\/strong>, EGX<\/a>figures (pdf)<\/a> showed. Traditional first-place holder EFG Hermes came in second at 10.2%. Rounding out the top five:<\/strong> CI Capital (6.9%), Beltone (5.9%), and Mubasher (4.2%).<\/p>\n

EARNINGS WATCH-<\/strong><\/p>\n

Arabia Investments Holding\u2019s (AIH) FY2020 net profits increased 15% y-o-y to EGP 95 mn <\/strong>from EGP 83 mn last year, according to a company earnings release (pdf)<\/a>. Revenues for the year were up 31% y-o-y to EGP 1.6 bn, driven by 30.6% y-o-y growth in construction and building materials revenues, and a 39% y-o-y growth in the non-banking financial services (NBFS) revenues. Subsidiary UE Finance saw its portfolio increase 175% y-o-y to EGP 2.3 bn.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, <\/strong>AIH plans to double its business over the coming three years through new services and products, expanding geographically, and adding new investments and companies to its NBFS portfolio.<\/p>\n

Sinai Cement reported a net loss of EGP 560 mn in FY2020<\/strong>, down 26% y-o-y from a net loss of EGP 446 mn last year, the company said in its earnings release (pdf)<\/a>.
