The Omani company is aiming to be the region\u2019s foremost company using IoT tech in the transport sector, and raised USD 2.3 mn series A funding in December.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tareeqi<\/strong><strong>\u2019s app allows users to track buses<\/strong> from schools, universities, and other institutions to increase safety and reliability in transport and was founded by Al Farouk Saleh and Mohamed Monier in 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ALSO FROM PLANET STARTUP-<\/strong> <strong>Emerging markets careers network <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.localized.world\/\">Localized<\/a><\/strong> <strong>has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding <\/strong>from tech investors in the education and recruitment sectors, the company said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2021\/6\/Final-Localized-Press-Release-Seed-Round-June-2021.docx-1.pdf\">statement (pdf)<\/a>. Investors included <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trendforward.com\/index.html\">Trend Forward Capital<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oneplanetvc.com\/\">One Planet VC<\/a>, Mexico\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.angelventures.vc\/\">Angel Ventures<\/a>, and angel investor <a href=\"https:\/\/vator.tv\/person\/estherdyson\">Esther Dyson<\/a>. Headquartered in Washington, DC, Localized\u2019s team operates from Cairo, Ramallah, Amman, Prague, Lagos, San Francisco and Dubai. Its platform connects students from EMs to industry experts and employers.
