<\/a> Direct Russian flights to Red Sea destinations may resume in the \u201cnear future,\u201d<\/strong> once Russian authorities add the \u201cfinishing touches\u201d to the plan, which will finally end the six-year flight ban, Russia\u2019s Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said at a press conference yesterday, Tass<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re hoping that \u201cnear future\u201d means \u201cJune\u201d<\/strong>, as Putin originally agreed<\/a> with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in April.<\/p>\n

But at the moment the best we can hope for is a summer return: <\/strong>The minister did give a hint that we could be looking at the plans being delayed during the presser. When asked by reporters whether flights will return in the summer, Bogdanoff replied with \u201cI think so.<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n
