Talks to bring the US and Iran back into the 2015 nuclear pact have resumed in <\/strong>Vienna for a <\/strong>fifth \u2014 and possibly final \u2014 round<\/strong>, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia\u2019s UN envoy to the Austrian capital, said on Twitter<\/a>. Officials from world powers including the UK, France, Germany, Russia and China, besides the US and Iran, have been back and forth from Vienna in past weeks to discuss how to get the US back into the agreement and restore Iran\u2019s compliance with the terms,, which had ended Tehran\u2019s nuclear ambitions in exchange for an end to sanctions.<\/p>\n

The talks should decide once and for all whether it will be possible to revive the pact<\/strong> that has been \u201con life support\u201d since former US President Donald Trump pulled out in 2018, prompting the Islamic Republic to gradually breach the terms by ramping up its nuclear enrichment.<\/p>\n
