El Hitamy, who joined MNHD in 2016, has also stepped down from the board but will remain a consultant to the developer until the end of the year. <strong>Chairman Hazem Barakat<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/eg.linkedin.com\/in\/hazem-barakat-76450690\">LinkedIn<\/a>) will step in as the <strong>acting CEO<\/strong> until a successor is appointed, the company said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GEM has a board of trustees<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has named <strong>Japanese<\/strong> <strong>Deputy Prime Minister<\/strong> Taro Aso, <strong>Kyoto National Museum Director<\/strong> Johei Sasaki, <strong>Saudi Space Commission Chairman<\/strong> Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the <strong>director of New York\u2019s Metropolitan Museum<\/strong>, and the <strong>secretary-general of the World Tourism Organization<\/strong> to the Grand Egyptian Museum\u2019s Board of Trustees, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3yg94WJ\">Hapi Journal<\/a>.
