AmCham Egypt <\/strong>has elected Tarek Tawfik <\/strong>(LinkedIn<\/a>), chairman of the Cairo Poultry Group, as the new president <\/strong>for two years, Al Shorouk<\/a> reports. Tawfik will succeed AUC School of Business Dean Sherif Kamel<\/strong> (LinkedIn<\/a>). Apache Egypt General Manager David Chi<\/strong> (Bio<\/a>) has been appointed the chamber\u2019s vice president from the US side, while Tarek Mohanna<\/strong> (LinkedIn<\/a>), a partner at MHR & Partners, has been appointed as the Egyptian vice president.<\/p>\n

Ayman Farouk <\/strong>has been appointed head of investor relations <\/strong>at Heliopolis <\/strong>Housing and Development<\/strong>, the company said in a statement (pdf)<\/a> last Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Shahat El Ghatwary<\/strong> has been appointed as the head of the Customs Authority <\/strong>effective 1 May for a one-year term, the Finance Ministry said in a statement<\/a>.
