The split will allow the companies to appeal to more specialized investors, to manage resources more flexibly, and to improve each company\u2019s financial standing, according to the statement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other things we\u2019re keeping an eye on this morning:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A EGP 2 bn overdraft<\/strong> for the state\u2019s FY2020-2021 budget <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3thMoSP\">earned the green light<\/a> from the House of Representatives to help finance measures to prop up the economy and certain sectors amid the fallout from the pandemic.<\/li>\n<li>Some 3k factories in Cairo and Alexandria <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3lgU6cV\">will make the<\/a><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3lgU6cV\">switch<\/a><\/strong><strong> to natgas from <\/strong><strong>diesel <\/strong><strong>and mazut<\/strong> within five years, in a move that is meant to cut operating costs and bring down the price of product prices. It should also be a bit better for the environment.<\/li>\n<li>Greek industrial investor <strong>Mac Optic<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3eDbXcQ\">will manage and operate<\/a> a television channel dubbed HBC that is set to launch in 2H2021, through its Egypt-focused arm Mac Holding <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/2b982ef8-3fd8-4969-b9ac-a3f5202d1b01\">established last year<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>A Cairo court <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3rNo6jk\">will begin on 30 March the trial<\/a> of the man accused of the <strong>attempted <\/strong><strong>[redacted] assault<\/strong> of a young girl in Maadi.
