You\u2019ll find chapter and verse on both stories in the news well, below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE BIG STORY INTERNATIONALLY: There isn\u2019t one.<\/strong> It\u2019s one of those rare mornings where the global press is divergent in its coverage. Among the front-page stories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Scientists are reassessing their views on covid-19<\/strong> and the outlook for the end of the pandemic with the emergence of new variants. (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-health-coronavirus-variants-insight\/when-will-it-end-how-a-changing-virus-is-reshaping-scientists-views-on-covid-19-idUSKBN2AV1T1\">Reuters<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Protests in Myanmar are escalating<\/strong>, with security forces killing at least 34 people yesterday. (<a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/myanmar-security-forces-kill-multiple-protesters-e378d9bc703f7363c71ca639d47df738\">Associated Press<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>New York Governor Andrew Cuomo isn\u2019t quitting over [redacted] harassment allegations<\/strong>, but has issued an apology to the women aides who accused him. (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/\">Washington Post<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a class=\"content-anchor\" id=\"tldr-story-07\"><\/a> <strong>*** CATCH UP QUICK<\/strong> with the top stories from yesterday\u2019s edition of EnterprisePM:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Non-oil private sector <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/8faed8bc-23ab-4b8c-b5c1-dcfdd52aa20b\">conditions worsened<\/a><\/strong><strong> for the third consecutive month<\/strong> in February, but at a milder rate.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Telecom Egypt is <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/51d6019b-2ca8-465e-903f-eb44c68d04de\">planning to connect<\/a><\/strong><strong> landlocked and coastal African countries<\/strong> to Europe through a giant subsea system.<\/li>\n<li>The FRA wants <strong>listed companies to <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/0bb8b417-4120-413d-81f8-a0e9bde09c27\">justify stock splits<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WHAT\u2019S HAPPENING TODAY- <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The LNG carrier that arrived yesterday at the Damietta liquefaction plant will set <\/strong><strong>sail this evening or tomorrow morning<\/strong>, as it needs no more than 36 hours to load the shipment, <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3bbS4aL\">El Watan<\/a> reports, citing unnamed Oil Ministry sources. The carrier \u2014 which marks the second to leave the facility since it resumed operations last month \u2014 will then make its way to China with some 157k cbm of LNG on board, industry sources <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/97a7c519-e6da-49a3-a333-d6aef5ec7f00\">said<\/a> yesterday. The plant was brought back to life recently, after operator Eni last year <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/a2b2645b-2a0e-47c8-bcf7-c3bc35d5d40a\">reached an agreement<\/a> with the government and its former partner Naturgy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>OPEC+ may unexpectedly maintain production curbs at its <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.opec.org\/opec_web\/en\/311.htm\">meeting today<\/a><\/strong><strong>.<\/strong> Or at least so say three OPEC+ sources, who tell <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-oil-opec-cuts\/opec-considers-oil-output-roll-over-for-april-sources-idUSKBN2AV0WF\">Reuters<\/a> that the cartel may opt against beginning to taper off supply cuts. Despite oil prices rising to pre-covid levels, market demand remains fragile, they say. The market <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/367604f1-6604-47c0-86a3-15e1e6d9c3c9\">has been expecting<\/a> OPEC+ to boost production by 500k barrels per day in April and Saudi Arabia to add another 1 mn barrels.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SIGN OF THE TIMES- CIB processed more than double the number of mobile <\/strong><strong>banking transactions in 2020<\/strong> than it did in 2019, with the number of transactions soaring 118% worth a total of EGP 53 bn. The leading private sector bank also logged a 35% y-o-y increase in users of its personal internet banking service increased by 35%, according to a report picked up by <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3uQ4OM3\">Al Mal<\/a>.
