We have chapter and verse in this morning\u2019s Covid Watch, below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>INTERNATIONALLY, it\u2019s not front-page news everywhere, but it\u2019s an important story in <\/strong><strong>our neck of the woods:<\/strong> US President Joe Biden formally reversed yesterday King Cheeto\u2019s ban on immigrant visas, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/immigrant-visa-ban-ended-by-biden\/\">CBS News<\/a>. Biden\u2019s decision does not, however, extend to the suspension of H1-B visas, which are frequently used by tech companies to bring in international talent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And speaking of The Donald:<\/strong> His political comeback at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Florida on Sunday is \u201cshaping up to be an event that leans into the 2020 election conspiracy theories rather than rebukes them,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/cpac-put-2020-election-claims-center-stage-weeks\/story?id=76069658\">ABC News<\/a> says.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"content-anchor\" id=\"tldr-story-07\"><\/a> <strong>*** CATCH UP QUICK<\/strong> on the top stories from yesterday\u2019s edition of EnterprisePM:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Egyptian Drug Authority has <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/91f336e5-02c4-47c2-bc8f-df0412e484df\">approved<\/a><\/strong><strong> the Sputnik V and Astrazeneca vaccines for emergency use<\/strong>, ahead of the arrival of some 8.6 mn doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine from GAVI.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Foreign investments in EGP bonds now stand at USD 29 bn<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/61ffddfa-ebf5-4743-bbc5-f65c507cc962\">exceeding<\/a> its pre-covid peak.<\/li>\n<li><strong>News of Vodafone Egypt\u2019s acquisition of a 20% stake in each of Bee and Masary <\/strong>has analysts <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/355a289e-2f8b-45cf-8247-2c5ff90b10f3\">raving about shares<\/a> of all listed companies involved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WHAT\u2019S HAPPENING TODAY-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cabinet could be looking at the Public Enterprises Act\u2019s executive regulations as <\/strong><strong>early as today<\/strong>, Public Enterprises Minister Hisham Tawfik told <a href=\"https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/r575a4sd\">Masrawy<\/a>. The Act, which gained <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/ff11ab10-1ec1-4070-ab9b-a2375156967e\">cabinet approval last year<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/27d95a2e-524e-4222-a430-a0b2d42d2ed1\">reclassifes<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/27d95a2e-524e-4222-a430-a0b2d42d2ed1\">listed companies<\/a> in which the government holds up to a 75% stake, bringing them within the scope of the Companies Act, while granting general assemblies more power to oversee and remove boards.
