Oxford \/ AstraZeneca vaccine to be tested on children for the first time:<\/strong> Oxford University announced<\/a> on Saturday its plans to start trials of its covid-19 vaccine developed with AstraZeneca on children. Researchers will assess whether the jab produces a strong immune response in children aged between six and 17, enrolling 300 UK volunteers who will most likely get their first shots this month.<\/p>\n

Two covid-19 vaccines developed by French pharma company Sanofi could be <\/strong>available by the end of the year<\/strong>, the company\u2019s VP told Bloomberg<\/a>. The Sanofi vaccine currently being developed in association with GlaxoSmithKline will enter phase 2 trials later this month, while another mRNA vaccine being developed with US manufacturer Translate Bio will enter early stage trials in March.<\/p>\n
