Prior to the latest investment, the company had received USD 125 mn from investors such as US financial services giant State Street and tech investment firms SEQ Capital Partners and Delta Partners since its foundation in 2015.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kuwait taps wealth fund to rebuff potential liquidity crunch:<\/strong> A growing funding crisis has forced the Kuwaiti government to sell the rest of its performing assets to the sovereign wealth fund in exchange for cash as it looks to meet a monthly budget deficit of USD 3.3 bn, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2021-02-03\/kuwait-cashes-out-of-key-assets-to-stave-off-liquidity-crunch\">Bloomberg reports<\/a>. This came as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fitchratings.com\/research\/sovereigns\/fitch-revises-kuwait-outlook-to-negative-affirms-at-aa-02-02-2021\">Fitch<\/a> cut the country\u2019s rating outlook to negative from stable amid \u201cthe imminent depletion of liquid assets.\u201d The outlook change signals \u201cnear-term liquidity risk,\u201d with the country already contending with the twin pressures of covid-19 and lower crude prices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>US regulators to address the Reddit craze: <\/strong>US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will hold talks this week with the heads of the SEC, the Fed, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to address the Reddit-fueled market volatility in the equity and silver markets, Treasury spokeswoman Alexandra LaManna told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-usa-treasury-yellen-gamestop-exclusiv\/exclusive-treasurys-yellen-to-convene-meeting-of-top-regulators-on-gamestop-volatility-idUSKBN2A306A\">Reuters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Speaking of the Reddit rally:<\/strong> <strong>GameStop\u2019s share price has nosedived in the past week<\/strong>, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/gamestop-stock-down-gme-losses-reddit-2021-02-03\/\">closed up 3% yesterday<\/a> and is now trading hands at USD 92.
