Ahmed El Ganzoury has been held for some four months for his alleged connection to the incident, which took place in a Nile Fairmont suite following a party he hosted in February 2014. Two other suspects, Nazli Karim and Seif Bedour \u2014 who were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/egypt-rape\/witness-detentions-cast-shadow-over-egyptian-metoo-movement-idINKBN2962FR?edition-redirect=in\">reportedly detained<\/a> after coming forward to testify in support of the victim \u2014 were released <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/39c462Z\">this month<\/a>. The incident first came to light last summer when the victim of the attack posted anonymous testimony online and filed a formal charge accusing the men of [redacted] her in the hotel.
