IN DIPLOMACY: Libyan rival officials held talks in Hurghada yesterday<\/strong> to determine constitutional arrangements that would set the stage for an upcoming presidential and legislative elections, which peacemakers hope to hold on 24 December, the UN support mission in Libya said in a statement<\/a>. Officials from the eastern Libya-based Tobruk parliament and the UN-recognized High Council of State were urged by acting UN Libya envoy Stephanie Williams to wrap up talks in no more than two months to meet a political settlement roadmap laid out in Tunisia last November.
