The Egyptian Federation of Investors Associations <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/5dd50a4d-30e6-4616-abef-fc1cf0a3f4a3\">has been lobbying<\/a> the ministry to offer companies better terms and originally wanted a 15-year repayment period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Two pieces of oil and gas news for you this morning:<\/strong> SDX Energy finally struck gas at its South Disouq concession in December and estimates to have found 24 bcf of gas at the exploration well, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/polaris.brighterir.com\/public\/sdx_energy\/news\/rns_tool\/story\/xq6j62r\">said<\/a> yesterday. Meanwhile, <strong>United Oil and Gas has kicked off its first drilling campaign in Egypt this year with <\/strong><strong>its ASH <\/strong><strong>3 development well<\/strong> at <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2019\/10\/08\/united-oil-gas-acquisition-of-rockhopper-egypt-on-track-to-close-by-4q2019\/\">its Abu Sennan concession<\/a>, it said in <a href=\"https:\/\/polaris.brighterir.com\/public\/united_oil_and_gas\/news\/rns_widget\/story\/w6q1q7r\">a statement<\/a>. The oil well is expected to be cleared for production in two months time once testing and drilling is complete.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other things we\u2019re keeping an eye on:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sarwa Life Ins. Company <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2021\/1\/Sarwa-Life-Insurance-Fund-Press-Release-Final.pdf\">has launched (pdf)<\/a> its first<strong> fixed-income <\/strong><strong>investment fund<\/strong>.
