General Authority for Investment and Freezones (GAFI) CEO Mohamed Abdel <\/strong>Wahab (<\/strong>LinkedIn<\/a><\/strong>) has been reappointed for another one-year term<\/strong> by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, according to a cabinet statement<\/a> yesterday.<\/p>\n

Bank ABC<\/strong> has appointed Amr Tharwat<\/strong> (LinkedIn<\/a>) as the managing director and CEO of the bank\u2019s Egypt unit, the Bahraini lender said in a statement<\/a> yesterday. Tharwat has more than 26 years of experience in corporate and investment banking and joins the bank after working at HSBC for 15 years, most recently as the deputy head of global banking. Tharwat\u2019s appointment comes less than two weeks after the bank closed its acquisition of Blom Bank Egypt<\/a> for USD 424 mn.<\/p>\n
