<\/a> The EGX has changed up its list of shares eligible for same-day trading, margin trading <\/strong>and short-selling<\/strong> as part of its biannual rebalancing, the bourse said in a statement (pdf)<\/a> yesterday. The number of companies on the EGX\u2019s category \u2018A\u2019 list (pdf)<\/a> \u2014 which permits same-day trading and margin trading with up to 100% collateral \u2014 has risen to 143 from 129<\/a>. There are now 33 companies on the \u2018B\u2019 list (pdf)<\/a> \u2014 which allows same-day trading and margin trading with up to 80% collateral \u2014 down from 38 previously. Meanwhile, the EGX increased the list of securities eligible for short selling to 63 (pdf)<\/a> from 53. The changes are effective as of today\u2019s trading session. <\/strong><\/p>\n
