It\u2019s a really busy early fall morning here in Omm El Donia, so we\u2019re going to jump right in:<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT\u2019S HAPPENING TODAY-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"content-anchor\" id=\"tldr-story-07\"><\/a> <strong>Fall conference season is back with a bang<\/strong> this week, with many of the gatherings taking place in person:<\/p>\n<p><strong>It\u2019s day two of the <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/alolabor.org\/20527\/\">Arab Labor Conference<\/a><\/strong>, which is running through to 12 September at the InterContinental CityStars Hotel in Heliopolis. Government officials, ambassadors, trade union reps and business owners\u2019 association delegates from 21 Arab countries <a href=\"https:\/\/alolabor.org\/21017\/\">are participating in the gathering<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It\u2019s also the second day of the <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arabsecurityconference.com\/\">Arab Security Conference<\/a><\/strong> at the Nile Ritz-Carlton in Downtown Cairo. The cybersecurity conference will run until tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Also taking place this week:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Euromoney Conferences will host the <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3l0GeDU\">GlobalCapital Sustainable and Responsible<\/a><\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3l0GeDU\"><\/a><\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3l0GeDU\">Capital Markets Forum 2021<\/a><\/strong>, which kicks off tomorrow and features Vice Minister of Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk. The conference will run until Wednesday.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.egyhealthexpo.com\/\">Egy Health Expo<\/a><\/strong><strong> will also take place on Tuesday<\/strong> at the Al Manara International Conference Center.<\/li>\n<li>The International Cooperation Ministry is hosting its inaugural two-day <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2021\/8\/Press-release_ICF_arabic.pdf\">Egypt-International Cooperation Forum (ICF)<\/a><\/strong><strong> this Wednesday.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/devopsdays.org\/events\/2021-cairo\/welcome\/\">DevOpsDays Cairo 2021<\/a><\/strong>, organized by ITIDA and the Software Engineering Competence Center in cooperation with DXC Technology, IBM Egypt and Orange Labs, <strong>takes place this Thursday<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>It\u2019s Labor Day in the United States and Canada. <\/strong>Wall Street and Bay Street are closed today, but will be back to trading tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NEXT WEEK-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"content-anchor\" id=\"tldr-story-06\"><\/a> <strong>Another new entrant to Egypt\u2019s ride-hailing market will launch next <\/strong><strong>week: <\/strong>Chinese ride-sharing app <a href=\"https:\/\/www.didiglobal.com\/\">DiDi<\/a> will start operating in Egypt next week, a company representative told Enterprise. The company will launch in Alexandria before expanding to other areas of the country.
