The company will also carry out maintenance work and supply spare parts for eight years, the statement said. The contract is part of the larger <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2018\/08\/02\/ebrd-provides-eur-205-mn-loan-for-cairo-metro-line-1-rehabilitation\/\">rehabilitation program<\/a> for Cairo\u2019s oldest underground line. Alstom is also <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/9da43aa1-fc76-4079-ab49-a490d2ee9c0e\">currently working on<\/a> the manufacture of monorail trains for Egypt\u2019s first monorail project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Egypt received six of the 22 trains that will be used on the light rail<\/strong>, which will link <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/03c8bdc6-d133-43b4-9496-34fb2f55be97\">Salam City and Tenth of Ramadan City<\/a> via the new capital, the Transport Ministry <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/EgyptianCabinet\/posts\/261055392731555\">said<\/a> last week.
