The Health Ministry <\/strong>reported<\/a><\/strong> 868 new covid-19 infections yesterday<\/strong>, down from 883 the day before. Egypt has now disclosed a total of 320,207 confirmed cases of covid-19. The ministry also reported 43 new deaths, bringing the country\u2019s total death toll to 18,058.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re getting our hands on another 7 mn doses of covid vaccines by the end of<\/strong> October<\/strong>, Health Minister Hala Zayed said<\/a> during a meeting with governors. Vacsera is also continuing to manufacture 2 mn doses of Sinovac jabs weekly, meaning we will have a total of around 9 mn additional vaccine doses by the end of the month. The minister previously said<\/a> that Egypt would add 9.5 mn doses to its vaccine arsenal in October, without specifying where the doses were coming from, bringing the total number of doses received to date to 70 mn.<\/p>\n

ABROAD- The FDA could allow folks getting covid booster shots to mix-and-match vaccines<\/strong>, according to the Washington Post<\/a>.
