President Abdel Fattah El Sisi\u2019s sit-down with the nation\u2019s judges<\/strong> on the occasion of Egyptian Judiciary Day headlined talk shows last night. The president chaired a meeting of the Supreme Council for Judicial Bodies, delivering a speech in which he upheld the principle of \u201cnon-interference\u201d in the affairs of the judiciary as a golden rule. Al Hekaya\u2019s Amr Adib (watch, runtime: 5:02<\/a>), Kelma Akhira\u2019s Lamees El Hadidi (watch, runtime: 5:19<\/a>), Al Hayah Al Youm\u2019s Lobna Assal (watch, runtime: 3:43<\/a>), and Sada El Balad (watch, runtime: 1:32<\/a>) all had coverage.<\/p>\n

El Hadidi noted that this is the first Judiciary Day since women were allowed to serve as judges,<\/strong> noting El Sisi\u2019s statement that Egypt now has 11 female judges nationwide (watch, runtime: 2:22<\/a>).<\/p>\n
