The entry has been updated on our website and we apologize for the error.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE BIG STORY TODAY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"content-anchor\" id=\"tldr-story-01\"><\/a> <strong>Egypt backs UN resolution condemning Russia\u2019s Ukraine annexations:<\/strong> Egypt voted in favor of a UN General Assembly Resolution earlier this week condemning Russia for annexing several regions in Ukraine and demanding that Russia reverse the move, the Foreign Ministry said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo\/?fbid=421685806807938&set=pcb.421686186807900\">statement<\/a>. The statement also reiterates Egypt\u2019s calls for Russian and Ukraine to reach a diplomatic solution to the conflict.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE BIG STORY ABROAD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>US core inflation hit a four-decade high in September<\/strong>, although the consumer price index rose at a slower pace during the month, coming in at 8.2%, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/news.release\/cpi.nr0.htm\">Bureau of Labor Statistics data<\/a>. The core inflation figure, which strips out food and energy costs, rose 0.3 percentage points from August.
