The rate is down by 0.1 percentage points in comparison to the <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/dbe5793d-845b-4c06-9147-dd5f4354509f\">same quarter<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE BIG STORY ABROAD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The international business press is mostly leading with disappointing economic data out<\/strong><strong> of China leading to a surprise interest rate cut.<\/strong> Industrial production, retail sales, and real estate investment figures all rose in July, China\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stats.gov.cn\/english\/PressRelease\/202208\/t20220815_1887339.html\">National Bureau of Statistics<\/a> said, but these figures fell below analyst expectations. The People\u2019s Bank of China responded by slashing interest rates by 10 bps in a bid to boost the country\u2019s growth.
