Farid is taking over the position from Mohamed Omran, who has been at the FRA\u2019s helm for the past five years and was given a one-year extension on his term in office on 8 August 2021. Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly is expected to announce Farid\u2019s successor as the head of the bourse soon, the newspaper reports.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE BIG STORY ABROAD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>It\u2019s a mixed bag of nuts and bolts in the international business press this afternoon<\/strong>, as is often the case on Sundays. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/taiwan-says-chinese-planes-ships-carry-out-attack-simulation-exercise-2022-08-06\/\">Reuters<\/a>\u2019 front page leads with China and Taiwan carrying out military drills in close proximity to each other in the wake of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi\u2019s visit to Taiwan last week, while the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/democrats-climate-plan-gets-early-green-light-11659798389?mod=hp_lead_pos1\">Wall Street Journal<\/a> is squarely focused on the US\u2019 tax and climate bill, which is expected to be passed today.
