The new controls make it a legal requirement for auditors to monitor each developer, in addition to requiring developers to submit semi-annual reports on their projects and activities. The new regulations also require companies to create separate bank accounts for each of their projects, and forbid developers from doing any marketing activity for sales of units before they obtain ministerial approval for the project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE BIG STORY ABROAD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The international business press is paying particular attention this afternoon to the fate<\/strong><strong> of European energy markets<\/strong> as they withdraw from Russian gas supplies. A number of European countries, including Germany, Austria, and Italy, are turning to increasing their reliance on coal to secure energy supplies ahead of the winter, after Russia begins to throttle its natural gas exports to the continent. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2022-06-20\/austria-returns-to-coal-era-in-hedge-against-russian-power-play?sref=mmeFTDW1\">Bloomberg<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/f662a412-9ebc-473a-baca-22de5ff622e2\">Financial Times<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/less-russian-gas-puts-europes-winter-fuel-supply-in-jeopardy-11655725207?mod=hp_lead_pos5\">Wall Street Journal<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/06\/20\/ukraine-war-germany-turns-to-coal-as-russia-throttles-gas-supplies.html\">CNBC<\/a> all have more.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The upside to all this: Gas exports from Egypt to the EU are in a prime position to fill the<\/strong><strong> Moscow-shaped hole<\/strong> in Europe\u2019s energy market. Egypt, Israel, and the EU signed <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/613a0e7e-2a74-4d1b-8b28-0c9660944559\">last week<\/a> a new nine-year MoU that will see Israel send more gas to Egypt\u2019s LNG facilities before exporting it on tankers to European shores.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"grey-line\">\n<p><strong>HAPPENING NOW-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The House of Representatives is wrapping up its second day of plenary session debate<\/strong><strong> on the proposed FY 2022-2023 state budget<\/strong> as we hit \u201csend\u201d on this afternoon\u2019s issue.
