A busy news day is just what the doctor ordered to help us get over our collective heartbreak over Liverpool (read: Mo Salah) didn\u2019t walk away with the Champions League title last night.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE BIG STORY TODAY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"content-anchor\" id=\"tldr-story-01\"><\/a> <strong>The state plans to sell a 25% stake in EGX-listed Egypt Aluminum (Egyptalum)<\/strong> to an Arab sovereign fund, Public Enterprises Minister Hisham Tawfik said at an Al Mal conference, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2022\/5\/%D9%82%D8%B7%D8%A7%D8%B9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A3%D8%B9%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%84-%D8%AA%D8%AD%D8%AF%D8%AF-3-%D9%85%D8%AD%D8%A7%D9%88%D8%B1-%D8%B1%D8%A6%D9%8A%D8%B3%D9%8A%D8%A9-%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%B3%D8%AA%D8%BA%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%84-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A3%D8%B5%D9%88%D9%84-%D8%A8%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B4%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%83%D8%A9-%D9%85%D8%B9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%82%D8%B7%D8%A7%D8%B9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AE%D8%A7%D8%B5-1.pdf\">press release (pdf)<\/a> from the conference organizer. The transaction will take place through a capital increase, Tawfik added, without providing a timeframe for the sale.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ADQ to invest USD 10 bn in UAE-Egypt-Jordan industrial partnership:<\/strong> Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund ADQ will set up a USD 10 bn investment fund for projects linked to the new industrial partnership between the UAE, Egypt, and Jordan, state news agency <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BusinessWam\/status\/1530811413370912768\">WAM<\/a> reports, citing a speech by UAE Industry and Advanced Technology Minister Sultan Al Jaber during the partnership\u2019s launch event. It\u2019s still unclear how much Egypt and Jordan will be investing into the partnership. The announcement comes as Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/67794c02-4c1b-4d65-867d-863f039e6ccd\">is in Abu Dhabi<\/a> to launch an \u201cindustrial partnership\u201d with Jordan and the UAE, with the aim of attracting fresh FDI into the country, bolstering \u201cindustrial integration, and [serving] development objectives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE BIG STORY ABROAD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"content-anchor\" id=\"tldr-story-02\"><\/a> <strong>It\u2019s looking like that EU ban on Russian oil could be materializing soon:<\/strong> The EU is looking to ban imports of Russian oil via sea, while continuing imports from the Druzhba pipeline \u2014 Hungary\u2019s main source of crude imports \u2014 in efforts to cater to the country\u2019s objections, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2022-05-28\/eu-spares-pipeline-oil-from-russian-embargo-plan-to-break-logjam?srnd=politics-vp\">Bloomberg<\/a> reports, citing people it says have knowledge of the matter..
