Schneider will pay GBP 31.00 a share, a 41% premium to Aveva\u2019s trading price before news of the sale broke. The country\u2019s largest gas importer suffered a EUR 12 bn loss in 1H 2022 on soaring gas prices after Russia <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/ab0c5271-87e4-4c73-827d-aeeb13c19a36\">limited flows<\/a> to Europe, and losses are expected to exceed EUR 18 bn by the end of the year.
