The company was planning to go public this year and had already appointed an investment bank, but will not go to market before next year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.almasdar.com\/118691\">Al Masdar<\/a> quotes Aman Financial Services CEO Hazem Moghazi as having said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This comes a week after <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/004a2209-c482-4067-af0e-5ba87566e2d4\">the local press reported<\/a><\/strong><strong> that Banque du Caire had decided to push its IPO plans<\/strong> until the market stabilizes. The state-owned bank was also planning to debut on the EGX this year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The EGX has suffered so far this year:<\/strong> Rampant inflation at home and abroad, rising interest rates in the US and now Europe, and significant macro fallout from Russia\u2019s war in Ukraine have together helped drive the EGX into a bear market this year. Foreign investors have retreated from the market amid a broad risk-off sentiment in emerging markets, leaving the benchmark EGX 30 index at lows not seen <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/ecae4630-3a1a-4c33-86bd-a4a28695feb6\">since November 2016<\/a>. <strong>The benchmark EGX 30 is down nearly 22% for the year<\/strong> so far.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aman\u2019s IPO has been a long time coming: <\/strong>Raya <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/a2250b60-5a0f-4010-a47d-a58f63640dce\">initially announced<\/a> plans to list Aman in 2020, with hopes for the subsidiary to make its debut in 2021.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also from Aman:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Aman could soon welcome new shareholders: <\/strong>Raya is looking to sell 10-15% of its 76% stake in Aman before the end of the year to fund its expansion plans at home and abroad, Moghazi said. The National Bank of Egypt owns the remaining 24% of the company, after <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/b0471f41-7075-4dd6-8a0a-5f768910dca7\">acquiring the stake<\/a> in 2020.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Saudi expansion on the horizon: <\/strong>Aman is in discussions to establish a unit in Saudi Arabia and provide consumer finance services to the Saudi market.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Another round of securitization is in the works:<\/strong> Aman is to sell EGP 500 mn worth of securitized bonds in the coming three months, Moghazi told <a href=\"https:\/\/hapijournal.com\/?p=199366\">Hapi Journal<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aman pushes EGX debut to next year: Raya Holding\u2019s non-banking financial services outfit, Aman Holding, has reportedly become the latest Egyptian company to delay plans to IPO on the EGX as global economic headwinds batter financial markets.
