One step closer towards resolving the seven-year war in Yemen? <\/strong>The UN is pushing warring parties in Yemen to extend the current truce by another six months, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters<\/a>. The truce would mark the most prominent step in the UN\u2019s efforts towards resolving the ongoing conflict between the Yemeni government and the Houthi movement. The UN\u2019s Yemen envoy, Hans Grundberg, will be heading to Oman soon to talk to the Houthis' chief negotiator, followed by a visit to the Yemeni southern city of Aden, where the Yemeni government is headquartered.<\/p>\n
