Outsourcing and consultancy firm <\/strong>Webhelp<\/a><\/strong> plans to more than t<\/strong>riple its <\/strong>headcount in <\/strong>Egypt by the end of 2024<\/strong>, the Communications Ministry said in a statement<\/a> yesterday following the opening of the company\u2019s new EGP 250 mn headquarters in Cairo.<\/p>\n

The company is gearing up for a hiring spree:<\/strong> The company currently employs 1.1k people in Egypt and plans to raise this to 1.6k by the end of this year and 3.6k by 2024.<\/p>\n

Webhelp likes Egypt:<\/strong> \u201cEgypt is one of the most attractive markets in the field of outsourcing services,\u201d founder and CEO Oliver Duha said. The country was named the number one outsourcing destination in the Middle East and 15th in the world in a report<\/a> last year due to its financial attractiveness and strong workforce.<\/p>\n

The ministry\u2019s development agency will ramp up training:<\/strong> ITIDA will make sure there\u2019s a pool of qualified workers available for hire under a three-year agreement signed yesterday.<\/p>\n

This is the second MoU between the two sides: <\/strong>Last year ITIDA and Webhelp signed an MoU<\/a>, under which Webhelp pledged to invest EGP 200 mn in Egypt over three years to expand its business center in the country.<\/p>\n

About Webhelp: <\/strong>The company offers a wide range of services from sales to service, content moderation to credit management.
