Qatar has committed to <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/c734fc23-c0c0-4322-bf5d-ce3c400e707a\">invest USD 5 bn in Egypt<\/a> to support the economy as it grapples with the impact of surging commodity prices and rising interest rates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Two of the MENA region\u2019s biggest real estate developers may want in:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ezdanholding.qa\/\">Ezdan Holding<\/a> wants to establish a number of hotels in Egypt and enter the financial services sector, founder Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Al Thani told Abdel Wahab. A delegation from the company will soon make its way to Egypt to study the market and locate potential areas for investment.<\/li>\n<li>The CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qataridiar.com\/English\/Pages\/default.aspx\">Qatari Diar<\/a> discussed the possibility of expanding the company\u2019s footprint in Egypt. The real estate firm has finally launched the EGP 1 bn first phase of its <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/aec62253-e782-4eb0-9277-7f11fc39a545\">CityGate<\/a> development, after the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/f383cef8-f700-4ac4-9895-8136b783030b\">approved the company\u2019s license<\/a> to continue work on the project following <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/7861345f-c750-41d3-81a9-fbc6bdbaa1aa\">a four-year dispute<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Juhayna\u2019s new shareholder could expand into new sectors:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/powerholding-intl.com\/\">Power International Holding<\/a> (PIH) \u2014 which operates in general contracting, agriculture and food industries, and real estate \u2014 is interested in investing in our healthcare, agriculture, tourism and retail sectors, Chairman Ramez Al Khayat told Abdel Wahab.
