<\/a> The IFC now owns a 5% stake in consumer healthcare giant IDH: <\/strong>The International Finance Corporation (IFC) and its IFC MENA Fund have together raised their stake in Cairo-headquartered Integrated Diagnostics Holdings (IDH) to 5%, according to a disclosure (pdf)<\/a> to the London Stock Exchange.<\/p>\n

The stake purchase is part of \u201ca larger overall engagement\u201d between IDH and the IFC<\/strong>, which saw the international lender start buying stakes in the company back in May 2021 to back IDH\u2019s dual listing<\/a> on the EGX and LSE. The engagement includes a USD 60 mn debt financing package to help finance IDH\u2019s expansion into Pakistan, according to the disclosure. The company last year announced a USD 45 mn<\/a> loan from the IFC to support its growth plans in emerging markets, in addition to its current presence in Egypt, Jordan, Nigeria and Sudan.
