The renewables company <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/c5c730b4-4705-43f2-bfea-72fc0ba4e2db\">inaugurated<\/a> its USD 350 mn, 250 MW wind farm in West Bakr last November, and <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/323f6825-1739-4d2e-b6f6-edea60694a8a\">said in 2020<\/a> that it would funnel most of its investments to Egypt in \u201cthe coming period.\u201d Private equity giant Actis, which backs Lekela, did not respond to Enterprise\u2019s request for comment before dispatch time.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"grey-line\">\n<p><strong>CORRECTION + UPDATE-<\/strong> We incorrectly said in the TL;DR section of today\u2019s EnterpriseAM that First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) were considering a potential merger. However, the corridor out of Sumy appeared to be the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/europe\/russia-promises-silence-ukrainians-flee-battered-cities-2022-03-09\/\">only one to open successfully<\/a>, with local Ukrainian authorities reporting routes out of the other cities saying that Russia has not been abiding by ceasefire agreements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The choppy evacuation plans come as Ukraine is running low on medical supplies<\/strong>, while Russia is reportedly stepping up attacks on ambulances and healthcare facilities, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/europe\/attacks-ukrainian-hospitals-ambulances-increasing-rapidly-who-warns-2022-03-08\/\">WHO officials said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE ENDGAME?<\/strong> Scholars and analysts suggest that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2022-03-09\/vladimir-putin-s-ukraine-invasion-stares-down-brutal-endgame?srnd=premium-middle-east&sref=mmeFTDW1\">Russia may be forced<\/a> to go the \u201cfull destruction\u201d route in Ukraine to score a victory, while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.channelnewsasia.com\/world\/ukraine-hold-russia-attack-7-10-days-senior-official-2550551\">a Ukrainian government official says<\/a> that Kyiv needs to hold down the fort for another week to 10 days \u201cto deny Moscow any kind of victory.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>ON THE DIPLOMACY FRONT- President Abdel Fattah El Sisi discussed the war in Ukraine with Russian President Vladimir Putin<\/strong> in a phone call earlier today, according to an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Egy.Pres.Spokesman\/posts\/520991856056214\">Ittihadiya statement<\/a>. El Sisi urged Putin to find a diplomatic resolution to the conflict and offered Egypt\u2019s diplomatic support as part of a unilateral or multilateral mediation effort.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meanwhile, the UK slapped more sanctions on Russia today<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legislation.gov.uk\/uksi\/2022\/241\/contents\/made\">adding an aviation export ban<\/a>to its list of punitive measures against Moscow.
