Reports circulating in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/saudi-arabia-considers-accepting-yuan-instead-of-dollars-for-chinese-oil-sales-11647351541\">foreign press<\/a> had suggested that Riyadh was again in talks with Beijing \u2014 as it has been intermittently for years \u2014 to sell some of its oil in yuan instead of USD, amid deteriorating ties between the KSA and the US. Strategists <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/c2cf39a5-a923-4fc5-aa2e-2910aab828a4\">suggested<\/a> to Bloomberg yesterday that the move may not be aimed at overhauling oil markets, but is rather a geopolitical strategy amid global turbulence meant to signal to the US that Riyadh wants \u201cmore consideration.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>MEANWHILE-<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>UAE telecom group e& (formerly Etisalat) has begun talks to increase its stake in <\/strong><strong>Mobily <\/strong>to 50% and one share in a pre-conditional partial tender offer, it said in <a href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2022\/3\/ADX-Announcement-e-Announces-Discussion-With-Mobily-Re-Potential-Offer-to-Increase-Shareholding-in-Mobily1.pdf\">a disclosure (pdf)<\/a> to the ADX yesterday. e&, which currently holds <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobily.com.sa\/wps\/portal\/web\/personal\/am-overview\/overview#:~:text=Etihad%20Etisalat%20(Mobily)%20is%20a,by%20institutional%20and%20retail%20investors.\">a 27.99% stake<\/a> in the Saudi telecoms firm, is offering a more than 20% premium to Mobily\u2019s closing price on 15 March.<\/li>\n<li><strong>European energy traders are asking central banks for emergency funds:<\/strong> The European Federation of Energy Traders, which includes oil giants like BP and Shell, and major commodity traders, are urging central banks and governments to provide emergency assistance to \u201censure that wholesale gas and power markets continued to function,\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/6cdc4859-db8c-4137-8436-2a10cb50f579\">Financial Times<\/a>
