Canal revenues are expected to hit <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/4efd47f2-548c-4454-aaed-14c2016ce56e\">USD 7 bn this year<\/a>, up 11.1% from last year\u2019s record haul.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Regulation for the cosmetics industry: <\/strong>The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/egyptiandrugauthority\/posts\/310677054500664\">launched<\/a> a new online platform, EgyCosm, to regulate the cosmetics industry through a database for registered products.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other things we\u2019re keeping an eye on this morning:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The UAE <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wam.ae\/ar\/details\/1395303025196\">has launched<\/a> a distanced-learning school targeting 20k <strong>underprivileged children and refugees in Egypt<\/strong> and four other countries.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Taqa Arabia<\/strong> signed an <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2022\/3\/PRL.-Eng-Taqa-Tanzania.pdf\">MoU<\/a><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2022\/3\/PRL.-Eng-Taqa-Tanzania.pdf\">(pdf)<\/a> with <strong>Tanzania <\/strong>to cooperate on<strong> natural gas<\/strong> <strong>distribution. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Cairo Economic Court has <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2022\/3\/Speed-Medical-1-3-22.pdf\">imposed (pdf)<\/a><\/strong> an EGP 40 mn fine on Speed Medical\u2019s former chairman<strong> Mahmoud Lasheen <\/strong>for the two <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/107f1754-dca0-4654-92e9-fd680c3c9d71\">FRA lawsuits<\/a> filed against the company.
