Macro raised EGP 1.3 bn in the IPO, which saw it sell 264.5 mn shares at EGP 4.85 apiece, valuing the company at around EGP 2.8 bn. The institutional offering \u2014 which was allocated 95% of the shares \u2014 was <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/18e68f20-0bbf-4f69-afae-028e84e5bb77\">1.8x oversubscribed<\/a>,<\/p>\n<p>while the retail component saw stronger demand, closing on Monday <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/9ab7ae42-c6bb-432f-b092-99fe1ecf890a\">102x oversubscribed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shares will start trading Thursday<\/strong> under the ticker MCRO.CA at EGP 4.85 each, the <a href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2022\/2\/EGX-Macro-IPO-statement-1.png\">EGX confirmed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HAPPENING NOW- The World Bank is unveiling its updated outlook for the <\/strong><strong>Egyptian economy<\/strong> at an event being attended by International Cooperation Minister Rania Al Mashat, Communications Minister Amr Talaat, and the World Bank\u2019s country director for Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti, Marina Wes. We\u2019ll have coverage in tomorrow\u2019s EnterpriseAM.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"content-anchor\" id=\"tldr-story-02\"><\/a> <strong>Meanwhile, it\u2019s a busy day at the House of Representatives<\/strong>, where several important bills are up for discussion at the general assembly and within House committees. On the docket for today:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Changes to the Real Estate Registry Act<\/strong> that aim to simplify property registration procedures, which <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/94a9f72b-6838-4bb0-9138-fb7a1d6e0ed9\">received the green light<\/a> from the House\u2019s Legislative Committee last week (general assembly);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Amendments to the Income Tax Act<\/strong> (House Planning and Budgeting Committee);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Amendments to the Capital Markets Act<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/3fb31620-1cf4-4952-b018-deb2ab293138\">that would introduce<\/a> future flow securitization to the Egyptian market (House Planning and Budgeting + Constitutional and Legislative committees).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The House struck down proposed amendments to the Education Act in its plenary<\/strong><strong> session today for being unconstitutional<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/gate.ahram.org.eg\/News\/3352003.aspx\">Ahram Gate<\/a> reports. The amendments proposed imposing a <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/67c0f365-c3ff-4282-b20c-eeeeb8e8c23b\">EGP 500-1k fine<\/a> on parents whose children miss school without sufficient reason, among other things.
