The Health Ministry <\/strong>reported<\/a><\/strong> 2,191 new covid-19 infections yesterday<\/strong>, on par with the 2,194 it noted the day before. Egypt has now disclosed a total of 446,308 confirmed cases of covid-19. The ministry also reported 57 new deaths, bringing the country\u2019s total death toll to 23,110.<\/p>\n

Has our omicron wave peaked? <\/strong>Daily cases have been in decline for three consecutive days after steadily rising since the start of the year to reach a record 2,301<\/a> new cases on Sunday. Officials previously said<\/a> not to expect the peak of this omicron-induced wave before mid-month<\/p>\n

The vaccine tally:<\/strong> 28,673,560 people are now fully vaccinated against the virus, while some 9.6 mn people have received only their first shots and 672,266 people have received booster shots.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
