The two have been working together to build a network of smart cities and buildings through their IoT platform, which seeks to provide high-tech services in sectors including manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, education, real estate, and transport. In early 2020, the two companies signed a contract to develop a <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/9fb917f4-3617-4634-baac-b54ccf2a9003\">smart city management system<\/a> for the new administrative capital.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other things we\u2019re keeping an eye on this morning:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Transport Ministry<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/EgyptianCabinet\/posts\/334230905414003\">plans to sign<\/a> an MoU by June with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adports.ae\/\">Abu Dhabi Ports<\/a><\/strong> to set up a <strong>cargo route<\/strong> across the <strong>Nile <\/strong>\u2014 passing through Minya, Alexandria and Damietta \u2014 to transport products from Canal Sugar\u2019s Minya <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2018\/01\/23\/uaes-al-ghurair-to-invest-usd-1-bn-in-sugar-agriculture-project\/\">sugar factory<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fortress Egypt:<\/strong> Egypt is purchasing a mobile border surveillance system from US-based Advanced Technologies Systems in a USD 93.8 mn contract announced by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defense.gov\/News\/Contracts\/Contract\/Article\/2919673\/\">US Department of Defense<\/a> last week.
