Egypt has been making <\/strong>overtures<\/a><\/strong> to Senegal to get its support<\/strong> as the country prepares to assume the presidency of the African Union (AU) next month \u2014 especially as Ethiopia has signaled<\/a> it wants to bring back GERD talks to the AU. Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry last year met with Sall<\/a> as part of a series of diplomatic visits to drum up support from the continent\u2019s leaders for Egypt\u2019s position on the issue.<\/p>\n
