The Health Ministry <\/strong>reported<\/a><\/strong> 1,603<\/strong> new covid-19 infections yesterday<\/strong>, up from 1,569 the day before, as case numbers saw a second day of highs not recorded since the peak of the first wave in June 2020. Egypt has now disclosed a total of 410,098 confirmed cases of covid-19. The ministry also reported 38 new deaths, bringing the country\u2019s total death toll to 22,368.<\/p>\n

We received another 1.8 mn Pfizer covid doses from the US<\/strong> as part of the Gavi \/ Covax program on Saturday evening, according to a Health Ministry statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pfizer\u2019s plan for the transition to <\/strong>endemic covid<\/a><\/strong>: an annual jab that would cover all <\/strong>variants<\/strong>.
