The fund also sees the economy growing 4.5% in 2026 and 5.3% in 2030. Kouchouk added that fiscal policy now focuses on boosting production and exports and making growth more inclusive, while improved economic policies have helped ease inflation. <\/p><hr style=\"height:2px;border-width:0;color:gray;background-color:gray\"><p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>#2-<\/strong> <strong>Owners of New Urban Communities Authority-established units will <\/strong><strong>soon get a <\/strong><strong>three-month window to settle late payment fees under more favorable conditions<\/strong>, following the proposal\u2019s approval by the Housing Ministry, according to a ministry <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/EgyptianCabinet\/posts\/1368858378617912?ref=embed_post\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>. The IFC\u2019s triple A rating can attract large local players with substantial EGP liquidity \u2014 think pension funds and ins. companies \u2014 that are only really interested in long-term and, importantly, safe assets. Via the IFC as essentially a mediator and guarantor, these funds originating from local investors can be made available to local companies \u2014 especially those that have difficulty acquiring traditional financing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>It also protects local companies looking to borrow from the risk of currency mismatch<\/strong>, as the IFC will on-lend EGP-denominated loans. Private sector borrowers often have to borrow in USD. This means that swings in the exchange rate create a lot of uncertainty, making financial planning difficult. The unpredictable liability can also scare away investors and, in the worst-case scenario, lead to bankruptcy. IFC-led loans also help in setting a reasonable pricing benchmark for others in the market to follow.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Issuing EGP-denominated bonds outside of Egypt could also be part of the plan<\/strong>, with a proposal from the IFC to expand the program to foreign markets getting the green light from the Finance Ministry, our source told us.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>But there are still quite a few details to iron out<\/strong>, with work currently underway to formulate the These will be exempt from penalties for the first six months only, after which standard fees and penalties will apply.<\/li>\n<li><strong>An 18-month grace period <\/strong>will be granted to projects that have not yet obtained a building permit or begun construction to give them time to secure both building and operating licenses, as well as an industrial record. These projects will also be exempt from penalties for the first six months only, with standard fees applied afterward.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reinstatement of withdrawn land:<\/strong> The decision also allows investors to reapply for land plots even after land allocations were withdrawn but not yet reallocated or offered to other investors, provided they pay the due penalties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Manufacturers must submit an application to the authority before 30 April 2026 to qualify <\/strong><strong>for the new incentives<\/strong> and be exempt from delay penalties and standard fees for not completing their projects on time. Once approved, the grace period will begin immediately.
