Co-founder Ahmed Nasser tells Enterprise that its reported IPO plans will target the Nasdaq. If your nine months are up, Austria will want to see a PCR test and will require a 5-10 day quarantine period starting in October, while Croatia will require proof of a recent recovery but will accept travellers who recently received a single jab only. A British defense ministry official today <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/2021\/08\/22\/afghanistan-kabul-taliban-live-updates\/#link-XNYKXMBYPBCFXGTVRMZQRNCQQA\">announced<\/a> that seven Afghans died amid the chaos in Kabul airport yesterday. Powell, who was somewhat controversially appointed by Donald Trump to replace Yellen as Fed chair in 2018, is now credited by supporters on both sides of the aisle with guiding the US economy safely through the pandemic and into recovery. Most Fed watchers <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/ebfec479-2e9d-4009-b682-dde049b35dd4\">expect<\/a> him to be asked back for another four-year term, but the final decision rests with President Biden. He should make his view known sometime around Labor Day in early September, the reporter added. Powell\u2019s term expires in February.<\/p>\n<p><strong>As SPACs raise the eyebrows of regulators, famed activist investor Bill Ackman is <\/strong><strong>proposing SPARCs.<\/strong> An abbreviation for special purpose acquisition rights company, SPARCs differ from SPACs by not requiring investors to put up investments until a target company has been identified and a long-term operational strategy is set, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/e62337cd-65ce-4548-9cbb-7d1056e121dc\">Financial Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ackman\u2019s proposal follows a lawsuit that alleges that the bn\u2019aire\u2019s SPAC should actually <\/strong><strong>be registered as an investment company <\/strong>as it mainly invests in securities. Ackman called the lawsuit \u201cmeritless\u201d in a <a href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2021\/8\/8.19.2021-PSTH-Letter-to-Shareholders-Bill-Ackman.pdf\">letter to investors (pdf)<\/a>, but said that it would push back the timeline on specific agreements such as a planned stake purchase in Universal Music Group. The lawsuit is the most recent of attempts by lawmakers to regulate the broader SPAC market as they shy away from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/simonmoore\/2020\/10\/19\/the-risk-and-returns-for-the-increasingly-popular-spac-trade\/\">the risks<\/a> of the financial vehicle. Ackman has pledged to give back USD 4 bn to investors who piled into his SPAC if the new SPARC is approved.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Still unsure what a SPAC is? European oil stocks are cheap, pay out big, and have strong earnings momentum, especially in a potentially overvalued broader market, Bloomberg <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2021-08-22\/cheap-oil-stocks-lure-investors-even-in-an-esg-conscious-world?sref=mmeFTDW1\">reports<\/a>citing several analysts. After a pandemic year that saw the sector lose a quarter of its value and slash dividends, investors are now betting on a recovery in Europe\u2019s oil markets\u2014and they\u2019re not deterred by ESG concerns.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oil majors feeding the addiction: <\/strong>Take BP, which recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bp.com\/en\/global\/corporate\/investors\/information-for-shareholders\/dividends.html\">announced<\/a> earlier this month it will increase its dividend by 4% and buy back shares worth USD 1.4 bn in 3Q2021. Shares of the company rose 5.6% following the announcement. It isn\u2019t the only one, with oil majors (barring ExxonMobil) promising something similar. All the while these companies continue to peddle the story that they are taking climate change seriously. It has ambitions of becoming the MENA region\u2019s first USD 100 bn auto company.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Swvl became the first Egyptian company to announce a Nasdaq listing last month<\/strong>. The transport app will go public in the US through a merger with US SPAC Queen\u2019s Gambit Growth Capital in an agreement that values the company at around USD 1.5 bn.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s Odiggo? <\/strong>Co-founded by Ahmed Omar and Ahmed Nasser in late 2019, the tech startup operates an app that allows drivers to connect with suppliers and service providers near them. In return for using its app, Odiggo charges companies 20% commission on every transaction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New tech, new staff:<\/strong> The company plans to use the funding to further develop its product and integrate new technologies, Nasser told Enterprise. It will also expand its team in Egypt, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And it has big expansion plans:<\/strong> The company launched in Egypt and has since expanded <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/b3d40374-256d-41f2-a636-3453323a0aa5\">to Dubai<\/a>. Whether you\u2019re asking for more flexible work hours or a few days off to recharge, it's good to have specific requests on hand to make matters easier for your manager.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The key here is to be as proactive as possible: <\/strong>Instead of waiting until a challenge balloons into a crisis, try to anticipate your breaking point ahead of time. \u201cMental health days are truly meant to prevent burnout,\u201d a US-based psychiatrist tells <a href=\"https:\/\/lifehacker.com\/talk-to-your-boss-about-burnout-before-its-an-emergency-1845273892\">Lifehacker<\/a>.
