Siemens secures USD 1.3 bn turbine order: <\/strong>Siemens Energy\u2019s wind division Siemens Gamesa has been selected for a wind turbine order worth USD 1.3 bn (GBP 1 bn) by ScottishPower<\/a> \u2014 a subsidiary of Spain\u2019s Iberdrola \u2014 for its 960 MW offshore East Anglia TWO<\/a> wind farm, Reuters<\/a> reports. The GBP 4 bn project is located in the North Sea and will incorporate 64 of Siemens\u2019 SG 14-236 DD offshore wind turbines to produce enough energy to power almost 1 mn homes. <\/p>\n
