The plan aims to reduce HFCs by 54% by 2030 by providing industries that use the gasses with sustainable alternatives. Jordan has committed to the Kigali Amendment which aims to reduce emissions mainly from the refrigeration industry. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>What are hydrofluorocarbons? <\/strong>Traditionally used in industry and retail cooling, HFCs are <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/climate\/en\/news\/story\/94798411-b7e9-4e54-b840-3fca88368987\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">1k times more damaging<\/a> than CO2. The EU has revised its <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/climate\/en\/news\/story\/94798411-b7e9-4e54-b840-3fca88368987\/today:-aldar%25e2%2580%2599s-green-sukuk-issuance-opens-to-high-demand-%2B-a-new-ev-battery-parts-plant-for-morocco\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">F-gas Regulation<\/a> which provides additional tools for law enforcement to crack down on the trade of the gasses. The UAE\u2019s Climate Change and Environment Ministry issued a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/climate\/en\/news\/story\/f51a2f47-5b47-4d20-bacd-435ad3d82128\/uae-firms-ramp-up-cooperation-on-radioactive-waste-management,-solar-solutions,-and-low-carbon-aluminum\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">decree<\/a> regulating the use and distribution of hydrofluorocarbons in the country under a bid to control their distribution and curb their
