Lucid opens second KSA sales facility: <\/strong>Lucid Group<\/a>, the US electric vehicle maker backed by Saudi Arabia\u2019s Public Investment Fund, opened a sales facility in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, last week, according to Arab News<\/a>. It is Lucid\u2019s second showroom in the Kingdom and will handle retail, delivery, and customer service of Lucid\u2019s EV range. Lucid will also use the facility to provide mechanical and electrical maintenance, including through mobile repair service vans. <\/p>\n

BACKGROUND- <\/strong>The company aims to expand its sales and service locations in the country and has allocated USD 50 mn over the next decade to do so. Lucid had opened its retail location<\/a> in Dubai\u2019s City Walk with plans for a service center in Dubai Investment Park in June. <\/p>\n

Qatar launches service to support solar installation: <\/strong>Qatar General Electricity and Water<\/a>Corporation<\/a> (Kahramaa) has launched what it\u2019s calling its BeSolar service, which will allow subscribers to install solar energy distribution systems and connect them to the national grid.
