The footnotes have been removed entirely from the new draft of the framework that is set to be confirmed on 18 July. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The renewables industry still needs more support: <\/strong>The UK\u2019s renewables industry wants the Labour government to increase the country\u2019s renewable auction budget after its 2023 auction failed to incentivize new wind projects, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/sustainability\/climate-energy\/british-renewable-industry-pushes-new-govt-increase-auction-budget-2024-07-08\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Reuters<\/a> writes. The current budget of the government backed price guarantees \u2014 called Contracts for Difference \u2014 is GBP 1 bn with 800 mn earmarked for offshore wind, but markets and economics policy analyst at industry group Renewable UK Nick Hibebrd thinks this should be raised to GBP 1.5 bn.<\/p>\n<hr style=\"height:2px;border-width:0;color:gray;background-color:gray\">\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Spain approved nearly EUR 794 mn in subsidies for hydrogen projects in order to <\/strong><strong>position itself as a leader in green hydrogen production<\/strong>, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/sustainability\/climate-energy\/spain-approves-800-million-euro-subsidies-green-hydrogen-projects-2024-07-09\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Reuters<\/a> reports.
